MISSION

At Activate to Captivate, my mission is to empower people so they feel confident being themselves in front of others. I do this by giving people the necessary tools to share their ideas in clear, direct, and captivating ways.
BIO
Bri McWhorter is the Founder and CEO of Activate to Captivate, where she teaches communication techniques from an actor’s point of view. She specializes in public speaking, presentation skills, scientific communications, interview skills, and interpersonal communications. Bri has worked with a variety of organizations including top universities around the country, Fortune 500 companies, government organizations including the NIH and the Army's Special Forces, and numerous scientific foundations. She is the creator of W.A.V.E.®, a program where she teaches speakers how to overcome nerves, use body language effectively, and engage their voice to tell a compelling narrative. She coaches speakers for large pitch competitions, keynote lectures, and TEDx talks. She has an MFA in Acting from University of California, Irvine and a BA in Theater and Performance Studies from University of California, Berkeley. Bri enjoys helping people distill complex information into captivating stories.
